TF2 weapon comparison: Backscatter vs. Force-a-nature.

I've played TF2 for a while, but I want to know what scout weapon is better for an ambush attack, Backscatter or the Force-A-Nature (FaN).

Backscatter:
minicrits when fired at back at close range
-34% clip size
20% less accurate
No random critical hits

FaN:
Knockback on target and shooter
+50% firing speed
+20% pellets per shot
-10% damage penalty
-66% clip size

Tell me your opinion on what weapon is better, but don't just say crap. THX :)
