Age varification not working!!

Steam asked me to add a card to my account for age verification, fair enough, so I did, but still every time that I try to open up the steam page of certain games it still brings up the message to add a card? When I click on the "add a card button" it takes me to a page which shows that my card is already added... I thought that maybe it needed time to recognise that the card is there, but its been three days now. Is there anything that I need to do that it's not telling me?

A small note, it does also say to change ones preferences but that has already been done and I have double checked it.

strange, for them it said that they would charge £1 (likely reimbursed as a test) to verify, but it hasn't said that to me, I add the card and it says "continue" after pressing that it takes me back to the page saying that I need to add a card...

Are you using a credit or debit card? It's important for it to be a credit card.

Oh really? It says that it accepts Visa so I used my Debit card, I don't have a credit card :l

youll have to wait for more ways to verify yourself. they didnt give any dates or even a timescale for when that will happen. until then its credit card only.

Yeah, credit card is the only available option for now. If you don't have one, you would have to wait for Valve to add other verification methods.
Keep in mind, that it most likely be done in Valve time...

this is how scams operate, they charge 1 dollar to your card to make sure it works, and then they use your credit card number to charge you whenever they want, if it happens here on steam, everybody on here will need a new credit card HAHAHAH

Fortunately you can still purchase games by first adding them to your wishlist, but discovering new ones or remembering what the games are and if you still want them is the real difficulty

thats how you verify a card per steams faq page. no one at steam support is scamming users credit cards
