Which game or series had the most "unique features" in your opinion?
Something like Mass Effect series, where our character and save file could be transferred which altered the story.

Or Pokemon, with its ability to "forward trade" from gen 1-7.

Or maybe Monster Rancher where monsters were generated from physical discs. It was a lot of fun digging through CD albums and popping them into the PS2 to get these creatures.

Most unique in one game?

Not sure, cause lots of games I grew up with had map editors and let you transfer characters into a sequel. That was a norm back in the day.

I might say Birthright Gorgon's Alliance. Cause in that game it was a dungeon crawler, war game, diplomacy game, all in one. Not really unique in the sense of being unique, but attempting to combine all these different elements. Making a dungeon crawler that's also some kind of 4x game is something that gets me excited.

Doesn't have to be. Just something that stood out; anything memorable. Like the Nemesis system in Shadows of War. Maybe you've seen a type of mechanic somewhere before, but a lot of "casuals" haven't.

Idk if "map editor" means a game like WC3 or SC2 where players could design custom maps, i.e. DotA.

What other games let you transfer characters or creatures into sequels?
