Steam crashing constantly

for years never a problem but for the last month or so, everytime i go to use steam it's froze and asks for a restart

Re-install it.

Whenever I have an issue with an app or program that is what I do. Full uninstall then re-install.

Complaining isn't high on the list of getting things fixed BTW ... unless you are a Liberal, that is.
