Edit: after visiting the store, I have to say that this "fest" or "event" is very odd. Third Person Shoters should not be a genre at all. At best it is a sub genre of a sub genre and simply visiting the corresponding page bring up a whole spectrum of different kind/genre of games...
Talk about a whole lot of nothing...
People can get confused about it initially. It's how I felt upon seeing FPS for the first time so many years ago.
For me, I want the Returnal game, but unfortunately it's not among the ones on sale.
Did look at CDkeys, and it's a little cheaper there.
But I first want to know: has anybody found a steam code from CDkeys and that code DIDN'T work?
Can't be bothered to even think about it to be honest...
Interesting. I guess that can be interpreted as you're in a 3rd person POV, and doing the shooting. It doesn't mean you're actually doing the shooting ON FOOT.
If it does ah…Mass Effect 2 was good. ME3 for the multiplayer mode, miss that.
Yeah that was a good game.
Now I'm just waiting for someone to answer me if they've ever bought a steam activation code from CDkeys and it DIDN'T work.
"Talk about a whole lot of nothing..."
Well, the "fests" in general are that. You see the word "fest" on steam it means "definitely hype, not always deserved, and possibly not even a sale". Nonetheless they keep doing them. I felt like commenting in a way that could at least have the thing be of some use/entertainment to me. :P
..
Oni looks cool.
Mass Effect, I consider more RPG tbh. I mean .. "Bioware as a genre" basically, but I don't think of it as a "shooter" as in "reactions". Sometimes playing it as a pure shooter will let you punch way above your weight, but ME1 on "hardest" whatever skill, i seem to recall that just as often i'd be at the load screen before my plan even reached phase 1.x.
..
And guy from CDkeys, i mean, I'm not some forum pedant who's like "don't hijack the thread; i just got a clean diaper after someone necroed." But seriously ... if u made a thread w/ that topic, imagine how much more likely you would be to attract people who are actually interested in that subject, and might have your answer.
..
Let's get back on topic. I'm talking about those games where, you enjoy looking at your char, the anims, the load/reload, parkour, etc., w/e, and it just feels and looks good. You're like "i'm glad this is a TPS". (Which, coming from FPS background/evolution, is a significant thing to say. And fwiw, I actually didn't pick my answer of Max Payne cuz of these properties - it's just a good game, engaging, good story/plot, etc.)
TBH I was originally thinking pure TPS no "optional", but the misc. Star Wars games are actually pretty good, going back all the way to JK II. It's cool to see from 3rd person the 'saber moves etc. Many I haven't played (SOTE?!) so I can't comment on all of them but actually there were a lot.
Just Cause(s)...
But I think Max is the king, and its spiritual sibling Kane & Lynch was pretty wild too.
with a little help from search:
GTA, OK duh. Not "pure" in misc. terms we've discussed, but it belongs on the list.
Destroy All Humans
and Hitman of course, tho it's not my particular thing gameplay-wise, the games are amazing.
But i want the "hidden gems", not the easily-known ones. :)
