Open Letter(s) to Gabe Newell - legit edition

This should be allowed right - in the interest of transparency, and by the very nature of open letter(s), especially since some of us have spent 3-5k on the site.

I was thinking maybe it'll be nice, if, in stead of sending e-mails to Gaben / Valve, we could write a little letter here and say something nice or fair?

Who knows, maybe, eventually, some senior staff or even Gaben himself could see your message - you'll be 7 foot tall!

Huge fan, love HL2, been a Valve nut since beta.

Today, I'd like to bring your attention to what could amount to unfair censorship on your forum.

It says comments *removed for violations* - I believe my comments doesn't break site rules. I think they know this is unfair. And it's hurt my feelings..

I hope this little letter, finds whoever, in good spirits and health.

PS: These are open letter(s) to Gabe Newell / Valve, please be nice or fair - jokes allowed. Anything you'd like to say to Gabe? As longs as it isn't HL3 related.. But seriously, if you don't got nothing nice to say, you know what..

Right now we got a temporary ban, since lifted - where I couldn't block people saying things, in-game; or in-forum; I didn't like. Some of my recent posts have been deleted, I believe they do not breach Steam rules and now, I'm just left looking the loon.. In fact whole threads are gone, I was just gona update the migrant crisis..

2 tickets sight "comments" undisclosed and a documentary about the bible thread. Steam support say something different..

I'm not too happy about it eh.. So I reach out to Gabe! - or Steam staff.. unhindered by moderation.

Nobody from Steam (including the CEO) reads the forums. The only people who monitor them are the forum police and they only respond to user reports.

This post will not be seen by anyone from Steam.

If you disagree with a ban or warning, contact steam support to discuss it. The forums are not the place to dispute a ban or warning. The moderators frequently lock these type of posts.

I didn't encourage no-one nothing, to break any rules - I think they know that, but they say different..

Sure, but I want to vent my anger in an open letter, on an open forum, for whomever to read as they wish. I'm not personally attacking anyone. I've just had a lot of posts deleted for no explanation.

It's a harmless open letter, there's either an issue or there's not, I'm not breaking any site rules right? Can we have constructive open letters?

From my perspective, looks like an issue there..

I shared a brief summary of getting covid years ago, in a covid / vaccination thread, that got deleted, for no explanation..

Do you think there's censorship done for no explanation of breach? Do you want to send any letter to Gabe or staff? Even if none of them ever read the Steam sub-forum, LOL!

But since I don't want to wait for your next one, I have to block you to avoid more of your threads where you just post to bump them.

Either you quoted another person's post and it was deleted along with all related subposts or mods cleared thread derailment.
