Purely hypothetically; would it be possible to install Windows or another OS onto the Steam Deck?

is there any reason you couldnt. there has to be a cord to charge and more often then not that can someone be used to mess with the os these days. idk why you would want to because windwos is trash these days but im sure there is a way as long as you c an plug it into a computer

I dont know if there are certain drivers available for the latest deck just yet, apparently its doable on the older deck.

I could be out of date but it was the main stopper for me putting Win on my deck.

That said, now Ive had it a while i dont miss windows at all (on my deck) for the most part.

Yep! - apparently you can switch from Windows to Steam OS on the fly..
