Is Steam getting DDOS or something?

Issues replying to any threads at all yesterday, now the entire app running slow and sluggish than websites I used on dialup decades ago. Can't even add the free Clair Obscure ost to my library without an error.

Yep. It took me 15 mins to login to the client; it kept giving errors. Now it won't let me play because it refuses to sync steam cloud. Discussions aren't working for me in the client, only in the browser.

Tuesday Steam server Maint day.. all 250+ servers undergo updates and maint every tuesday.

If that were the case, they could at least put a maintenance notice in the client, like every other company does.

Yeah. Something is very broken. I mean their auth servers have always been ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but right now they're burning ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Games that need their horrible servers to be up shouldn't be a thing if they can't make them reliable.

yeah somethings going on on steams end. Thsi is normal steam has never been stable

this is more than just maintenance, I presume if it was maintenance steam valve would have said something themselves

No I dont think it is a DDOS. I think steam is not properly updating their sales and it is crashing authentication. So every time lately when they update for a sale it takes it down.

That explains a lot since it happens every week for me. If only they could come up with a better way of doing maintenance that didn't affect everyone like that. But oh well, at least now I know. Thanks

It wouldn't hurt to get some news by Valve letting people know they're doing Maintenace, especially for the unknowing. You see how people start assuming the worst? not great.
