Steam recorder still not fixed

From what I could gather on research apparently this issue when recording gameplay on steam deck seams where after 6 seconds the footage freezes on one frame then proceeds to only record the rest of the footage in audio. I remember this not being a problem a couple of months ago but after the recent patches this still hasn’t been fixed.

Does Valve even know about this problem or do they simply not care at the moment?

Do we know if this is still an issue? I recorded a little game footage (background recording) and it seemed to work but as I recall it was always a little "fickle"... Fingers crossed this is fixed because I've missed a bunch of stuff I would have liked recorded :(
