New summer sale theme sucks, bring back our waifu

Why is valves not releasing new Steam girl backgrounds, expected her to be the mascot just to have some weird feminism artist, background released instead.

Well, they can hire other artists, can they? Nemupan art was great and i think we lost so much since she left

How in the everloving ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ is this "feminism art"? Is it, maybe, just maybe, the OP using "feminism" as a stand-in for "stuff I don't like"?

*sigh* Just the utter 'Everything I don't like is because of feminism' smooth braining. It's nothing do with 'feminism'. It's just a change of artist, like it's been the last few years.

For the record, I don't like this years art, it feels underwhelming compared to at least the last few years. It's just falling flat for me and I dislike it. This particularly feels as bad as the clorthax summer sale art, and I'm just looking forward to whatever replaces it next year, as the autumn and winter's likely be in the same vein.

But I get that YMMV, and others may like it. It's very much the just because it's not your favourite flavour of ice cream, doesn't make it wrong that it might be someone else's.

I do miss the seasonal theme-ing though this year ( and I miss these guys

)

Didn't the people who complained about Delivery Girl all last year, claim that it was woke/lefty/otherwise offensive to righty bigots?

But yeah, it's kind of funny that the whole year we had that art, the forum was constant complaints about it. . . until it went away, and then the forum switched to constant complaints that it was gone.

Yeah I agree this art is pretty bad because it is barely summer themed at all. I don't really care that they change it, but at least get an artist that can stick to the current theme.

The spring artwork was also really bad, honestly the artist change was a huge L.

Why would you commission someone thats just going to do ugly post-apocalyptic artwork to celebrate seasonal events? Honestly remove the person in charge of this.
