IIRC they no longer drop for doing the queue. You have to get them by purchasing games or the cards. They are no longer "free."

In the last Winter Sale you were able to get a card with every badge you create, that is probably what OP meant.

Nothing is free on here anymore, literally everything they do makes them more and us less...must be nice to sit up on their profiteer pedestal. This is why I think every big business should be punished for a year making ZERO dollars and see if their practices change afterwards. i never crafted badges before sale to earn the sale cards: do crafting badges also give the bonus emote/background or i only get the mysterious card (that will transform when the sale goes live)?

Yes, you get the normal free stuff from the game in question along with a random Mysterious Card.

Before, the Mysterious Card just replaced the random coupon before/during the sales event but coupons are gone now anyways.
