Expired link?
I keep trying to add an Authenticator so I can login on a new device. I am unable to reset my password that I don’t remember because steam says it’s “not allowed on my account at this time”. But when I use the QR code to login and go to the Authenticator part and push add cell phone on the email it says the link “has expired” even though it literally
Just sent. It does this EVERY TIME. Does anyone know why it would say this or a workaround? This whole thing is frustrating and annoying.

Steam’s Authenticator links sometimes expire quickly or get blocked if there’s suspicious activity. Try these:

- Make sure your Steam app and phone’s time/date settings are correct and synced automatically.

- Restart your phone and Steam app before trying again.

- If it still fails, try removing the Steam Guard from your account on a trusted device first, then add the Authenticator again.

If nothing works, contact Steam Support directly for help with your account recovery.
