You were scammed. That person does not work for Valve.

Do ALL of these. Every single one.

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
7. Make sure your steam recovery email account is secure

Steam support will not restore any items or wallet funds that have left the account for any reason.

If you need to recover the account, read this:

Some people never played an MMO growing up so they fall for the free armour trim.

Nobody, you're a kid who fell for a very obvious scam.
That wasn't a Steam employee, that was some scammer who told you lies and you fell for it.

Wanna buy a bridge?
Steam will never contact you off-site, or via the PM system on Steam. It's a common scam.

Literally nobody.
This is one of the oldest scams in the book.
Literally saw a thread like this last week, same exact thing.
The only thing more routine than a thread like that is on R/Steam with people asking on Tuesday if steam is down/slow/laggy/bugged because of weekly maintenance.

Every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time, its always some CSGO/TF2/Dota/LoL player that falls for this ♥♥♥♥, without fail.

Sorry mate, you got scammed. Learn a bit more about account security and scams.

As others here said it was a scammer that stole your things. Valve would not contact you like that and ask to go to places like Discord to discuss account matters. The scams I have seen are voting for artwork or teams, free wallet money and free discord codes.

There are others like I accidentally reported you or confirming item ownership and I am sure there are others.

My advice if you're ever unsure about something is to report it to Steam Support via the Help menu and they can advise you.
