Steam/discord

Is steam collating with discord? Because someone sent me a thing on discord to sign in to steam for a 50$ gift card which is really suspicious

No, Valve has nothing to do with Discord. All gift card messages, links etc. are scams.

report the discord account to discord. do not click the link unless you want your account stolen

The $50 Steam gift card link in discord is a scam.
They are trying to steal your Steam (and possibly your Discord) login info.

Might actually be a generational thing, now that you bring it up. Ad blockers are so common nowadays that a lot of people might not even have seen those types of ads, and kids aren't playing games on free websites as much as they are on their phones now, so they're getting exposed to fewer sidebar/"click here" ads anyway.
