Cant use Steam-Family because of my work in another country
Has anyone this issue and a solution for this?

My sons want to play with me in the Steam-Family to share the same games we want to play together.

The Problem: I must work in a other country for 2 Years and steam doesnt allow my sons to join the Steam-Family Option because of the different locations.

can anyone help with that?

thx @ll

The system works exactly as it should. They're making sure you don't abuse their system with some randoms posing as kin. How is Valve supposed to know if your family is spread across multiple continents?

its working as intended, to played by family members inside the same household or in same local regional area.
I think it might work if you install a VPN to spoof the same family as your sons are "working" from ?
I am not recommending this as a way to spoof VALVE, far from it, but this seems a reasonable excuse for doing so ?

Set up a tunnel to your own home, and have only Steam use that for your internet connection. No spoofing needed, and if your homesituation is really like you describe it, it should be no problem for you setting that up.
using a VPN or tunnel service is DO AT OWN RISK. the risk is the account being banned/restricted permanently. you have to decide if its worth the risk. remember, using them to mask/change the regrion you are in is a violation of the SSA, doesnt matter why your using them to change your region.
Thx guys for ur thoughts about it. So better i wait the last year for reunion the family together.

It won't. VPNs do not affect Steam Store region for existing accounts and no longer affect Steam Family, either. All accounts in a Family must share the same Store region.
