All my saves are gone
I decided to move from Windows to Linux. Cloud Save has always been enabled and I double checked it was synced before fromatting.
Now, for some reason, all my games have "0MB" files. No more saves for any game. Please I have more than 600 games,

I just upgraded from Win 7 to 11 on a new PC, and yep, lost all my saves (and a couple of games). It's always risk upgrading or changing OS.

Have you checked the steam cloud saves?

You have to manually back up your saves! I do it all the time and changing OS is no different, i never lose my save games. Never trust clouds they are sketchy at best and not always reliable.

Well yeah, if you ignore decades of advice and warnings about backing up important data, especially when making major system changes.

So you're saying that if you go here https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage every game is at 0 bytes?

At any rate, arguably one should always run their own backup processes. Cloud saves are great, but if anything happens to that data you don't really have any recourse.

Even if a game is saving stuff to the cloud, it does not mean that saves got uploaded there.
Some only upload the game settings or other stuff to that.

Well I'm sure OP will report back if all their save games are deleted, but all their game configs are preserved. Since the issue is save games, forgive me for focusing on the relevant subject.

I checked and saves are all there indeed. So why aren't they showing in client?
