Are Steam Gamers Spoiled?
Let me say, aside from "do we own our games", awful moderation practice, and maybe even bad business practice, which i agree they are, lets talk about, "games".

It is now come to my attention, as a Console Noob, that Steam gamers, but maybe more precisely PC gamers, are borderline if not full blown insane.

Since my dwelling into PC gaming, starting small with old 2003 era games, totally dumbfounded how they can be played in HD and with a controller. On an old duster Win 7 computer. With mods.

To then my experiences here on Steam thru Ge Force Now, thru an Xbox One, to now with a new mini pc, nothing special as far as specs i am playing the BEST games i have mostly ever played.

Most of them all Early Access titles i bought awhile ago soley to support devs on their projects, on a PC i could not play them.

Now that i can play them, i cannot believe Devs would have to abandon these wonderful games, due to a bunch of spoiled brats (pardon my french) who did nothing but bellyache and complain about the most ridiculous matters.

EA is the best thing Steam has going. But you have to RESEARCH your games.

"Buh, it doesn't render properly..It's not optimized...I only get 1000 frames per second..It's woke"...

RUBBISH !!!!!

I just got a free three months of Game Pass Ultimate, and you know how many games i played?

ONE, Oblivion. That is all.

I think what our regulars here need to do, is stop spending every waking moment protecting Mr Newell, Moderation and Steam Practice, and START urging these new Independent Developers to keep up with bringing us more and more of these great games.

Or else, they should give UP on PC, and bring them over to Consoles, where many can APPRECIATE what they're getting.

Too long to read? You're spoiled PC gamers that wouldn't know a decent video game or give them a chance if your life depended on it.

That is all,

Sincerely your King, and Buddy,

Ranger :steamhappy:

Bruh, pick a dig and stick with it, no need to spread yourself so thin. I read that post 3 times and can't figure out which point you want us to take away...

Agree. He's usually more coherent.
Is that what indie developers needed to make their games? "Urging"? Is that the missing ingredient?

In a word part of it, yes.

If more people spent as much time trying to help up and coming developers, as they spend here protecting bad business practice or moderation, it may be time better spent.

>writes the longest, most incoherent post ever
>complains that people would rather play games than read the post
>complains that people are reading the post instead of playing games
>refuses to elaborate further
>pretends to leave

How many games do you own from indie developers again? How many in EA?

Enough to know, the complaints being made about those games, incoherent.

Unless everyone expects everything "perfect" and i think that's where this argument is. Elitism and snobbery, and not knowing how good they may have it.

I consider myself fortunate. I don't have the consoles I used to have (and I had quite a few) so my only opportunity to play games now is Steam, GOG, and EA Play.

If I still had them I wouldn't be here right now. I'd be playing those games. I might as well add most of the games I play the most here I had on console before. That ought to tell you want I think of newer games for the most part.

BTW you may think you are a King but you are just another poster here. Sorry.

Well i def agree about the Triple A's. We all have access to them, and i myself don't think they're at all in a very good place.

But as far as these smaller independent developers, i think they're dealing with a clientel, that expects "perfection", and that is not going to be the case.

I think if those games came over to consoles, they would likely do much better, being, we just don't have those types of games.

Wrong answer.

So again, how many games do you own? How many games have you bought in EA?

And well now, about 25 or 30. Out of now the more than 100 games here on PC, are either smaller indie devs, and EA.

I don't play on PC to play games i already have on console.

And so "that" is the answer, whether you think its the "wrong" answer, or not sufficient, that is tough.

So why are you here posting and not encouraging those studios?

You wanna make those claims with those small numbers?

Yet you claim those who have much more invested in those studios don't?
I encourage small gaming studios and independent developers, to maybe get away from Steam, and move into other ecosystems such as consoles.

I think Xbox is doing a great job, Sony as well, bringing in newer smaller teams, that can deal with a clientel that is more "appreciative" of games they bring about.

Do not ask me, how the new "Game of Thrones" game, that should be going bonkers by now, is stuck in a PC waste land. That should be on Consoles at first, not here as an example.
