The EU is not joking about misleading virtual currencies
And the first game to get punished is a mobile game known as "Star Stable Online".

They have been given 1 month to display real life price instead of virtual currency - they didn't do so and the time is up.

I also checked some known games on steam that do this, nobody did anything yet. They really think nothing will happen to them? Either way, I'll have my popcorn ready.

And those games tend to get removed from mobile store by Google or Apple, not by a government body.

Not quite true, there are many predatroy games targeted at kids that have zero regulation what-so-ever. Google and Apple will not remove these as these games bring in insane amount of money. Ethics is of no concern to them as it seems.

Chasing that in the mobile market is like playing whack-a-mole. Those games and the companies behind the come and go like flies. By the time they're caught they've moved into somewhere else.

I'd be watching the decisions of the EC on actual PC/console games.

Avalanches starts with a small ball of snow, no?

You need a critical mass of snow for a small ball to trigger an avalanche.

Star Stable is a PC game, actually. Been on PC for over 10 years. Didn't get ported to mobile until last year.

This.

Doesn't stop me from playing Another Eden, though. You don't have to spend money if you know what you are doing and spend your free Chrono stones wisely.

What are the consequences to this unknown law? Like if they don't comply, what happens?

And further, shouldn't your "notice" be sent to the devs, rather than posting randomly in a forum. This area is just for steam users (and the moderators who babysit us). There's no devs here.

Ethics and capitalism isn't compatible in any way, shape or form...

If capitalistic and greedy corporations and organisations could get away with murde in the persuit of money they totally would do it...

EU is on the verge of causing all non-european businesses to pull out of the region due to their overly pro-consumer policies.
At the rate they are going, they are going to force businesses to go bankrupt to satisfy greedy and selfish 'consumers'.

I'll buy more VPN service companies stocks, if I had any money. They cannot stop it. People will find a way to get scammed anyway.
