I'm assuming it's some steam-alternative.
I got steam in 2006, I think. I quit for a while back when they had no refund policy, but post refund policy, I like steam. It's been pretty consistent for what it is and what I expect it to be.
Apparently it's a healthcare company around where I live? Not sure why it's being compared to Steam.
Simple. EPic shat the bed right off the bat by deciding to compete by purchasing exclusives as opposed tio having a better store front.. That pissed people off.
Epic first agenda with their store was buying exclusive deals with companies and for me this was with FF7 Remake that was on Epic for a whole year before Steam. So I'm not buying anything from Epic store because that's a ♥♥♥♥ move.
Either way, it's just business.
Valve had the ability to do this too. They didn't.
EA had the ability to do this. They didn't.
Blizzard/Activision didn't even do this. They are the evil ones too.
But Epic did. I hate exclusive games. I want to play all of them on PC.
Ah but it wasn't released on Steam at the same time. Thus being exclusive and making them the bad guy.
Epic has nothing in comparison.
It's also not that much of a deal anymore. IIRC an exclusivity deal at Epic right now was them forfeiting their share (12%) for the six months exclusivity period.
