Is this scammer?

today I got a message from someone who told me that he has reported me because he's hijacked his knife in cs2 by someone who using my profile. He sent me some of his (fake) evident and ask me to add account by number he have sent me (1889900722). after I looked up the account that he claimed to be steam support, I know that it isn't right, and I think this man is scam.

Yes, it's a scam. The account they are using was likely scammed from someone else, too.

Better remove that account link from the post because it would count as naming/shaming.

At the top of his profile click the button
[More....]

Then click on Report Player
type in the message box to Steam what happened

I know that people should not randomly add users to their friend list that they don't know. For all I know you could be adding scam bots by accepting everyone.

If something is important, Valve will not use the friend system for it. They will find another way to reach out to you. And they will most definitely not use another platform for it.

If you do not know what to do with the people who are trying to contact you, you can always contact support by using this link:

If there is something they want to contact you about, they will probably know about it.

Typically, they use account alerts -- the yellow and red notification bars that cannot be faked so easily (if at all).

Scam, Not very sophisticated one. It aims really gullible people, so the scammers will have an easy task with them. Unfortunately such people exist and they get scammed every day.
