Steam Reply & Private Game
Hello!

As I understand it, if a game is marked as “private” and ends up being one of the five games I played the most in a given year, it will not appear in the yearly Steam Replay summary. Is that correct?

I’m curious about one thing: if I hide a game and don’t play it for a while — no new achievements, no activity — and then, after a few months, I set it back to public and start playing it regularly, will it then be included in Steam Replay? Or could this cause any issues?

I’d just like to avoid a situation where my Steam Replay for 2025 shows only four top games instead of five, leaving one tile blank because the game was private at some point.

Well, that's your answer then. If the game was private at some point, it won't be shown.
Huh. What is a private game? Is it useful?

Description

Marking a game as private hides your ownership, in-game status, playtime, and activity in that game. This allows you to make specific games private, rather than your entire Library. So your friends can see and join the games you choose to share.

The thing is, it's not even halfway through the year yet, and I already have a lot of hours in this game. Now I'm not sure if, when I change it from private to public, it will show up in the summary or not?
