how people post 2k resolution artworks
been going through some people's profiles and the artwork they showcase and the quality of it is ridiculously beautiful how are they doing it when steam only allow 5 MB upload limit on artworks

i bought a background from steam points shop (it's animated) and I've been trying to showcase it as an artwork but the size of it is too big (20.53mb) so i just uploaded it static, someone maybe have useful methods to help me upload it please!

Here's an image picked arbitrarily from Wikipedia. It's less than a megabyte and it's 2200x1443.

Use the correct image format for the job. gif is not a format intended for use with UltraHD graphics. When it was invented, screen resolutions with four digit numbers in them were unheard of.

is this a copyright infringement talk?

Unless a company owns a specific image resolution.

The context is about the resolution size. Hence "2k resolution".

It isn't an opinion, it's literally what the post is asking.

Same way I post 5k resolution.

I did have to scale it down from 6k though and as Ben stated:

Lol, you didn't read the OP?

I see it as imagine compressions. If you are trying to upload an animated GIF then try an online compression converter. Alternatively you can either reduce the timeline, reduce the colours and GIF dithering and/or try a 5 split workshop slot instead as it (I did this on my profile with 5x images to make one).

well as i said the artwork am trying to use belongs to the animated background am using on my profile so here is what i did : i went to steam dot design to download artwork middle and right as gif, the file size is 20.53 MB, i tried using some online compression tools like ezgif but that didn't help it only made things worse in terms of size and frames so at this point i have no clue what to do

He's not wrong.

2k is a misnomer but it became the marketing category for 1440p. It bridges the gap between 4k and HD (aka 1080p). They are not referring to 2k Games, the developer.

Either it was uploaded prior to the 5MB limitation or they compressed or downgraded it's quality just enough to get it under the limit.

I uploaded this a while back and I can assure you it is more than 5MB:

Steam even scales it down on viewing because it is so large.

he might not be wrong for his offtopic derail. why do you have to assert that comment?
do you have some input about what im talking about, the thing written in the op?

...since reading and comprehension are proven unreliable, here is the particular text again:
"i bought a background ... and I've been trying to showcase it as an artwork ... so i just uploaded it static, ... help me upload it please!"
"is this a copyright infringement talk?"
