Steam forcing PS5 controller update?
I am using PS4 & PS5 controller for quite some time. Usually i manually update them.

But last week i got a Steam-app pop-up: my controller needed a update. Up on accepting it let me install "playstation accessories" to update controllers. Since when does Steam let you automatically "force" 3rd party software?

Is this a new Steam feature?

I use a ps5 controller and have never ever updated it, and never got a pop up message that told me to update my controller.

you are not on trial but i agree that screenshot would help tremendously why you get this update.

to late i accepted, i have now a "PlayStation® Accessories" icon on my Desktop....
