What happened to game trailers?
I haven't bothered looking for any new games in a long while. When I do, I find it exhausting to wade through even the suggested games queue, as I scroll endlessly trying to find anything worth checking out. I inevitably give up after a while. So here I am again, probably about a year or so since I last bothered looking for a new game, and the queue is filled with trailers that have no explanation of the game play mechanics, excludes the game's UI and is nothing more than a marketing commercial. I understand trailers are commercials to sell the game, but having nothing in them to showcase the actual game instead isn't working for me. At all.

To all the studios out there: slapping a voice over on game footage with no UI and no explanation of how the game works is not going to net you more sales. When you put your game up, for crying out loud will you show what a player is going to experience? I don't care about flashy pre-rendered footage, obnoxiously loud music and movie guy voice actors telling me I'm the universe's only hope. Just show me what I'll see when I install the game and start playing!

that's cute you're telling game developers how they are going to net more sales, but you complain about how game developers make games? seems like you need to do more research for games theres a whole lot out there go beyond the queue its not the only way to find games
Well if you like, randos like us could start recommending games to you.

yeah would be nice to see the box art and paragraphing details of the game's most important info to note before buying.
