How do gift links actually look?
I'm curious how Steam gift links are actually supposed to look because I got sent a link that says something like "50$ gift {LINK REMOVED} numbers and letters)," and I know and hope we all know this is almost 100% a scam.

There are no gift links as far as I know, if you get a gift then you will get a notification and it will be in your inventory, what you are talking about is indeed a scam.

They come in your client as a notification you have a pending gift, to which you can accept or decline, else it will expire and they'll be refunded if not accepting. If you're on the client when it happens, it'll be a pop-up to which you can make the selection.
