Steam Family View is Not Safe

I use Family View as an additional layer of security against my Steam account being hacked. It restricts access to my profile, inventory, and certain games, giving me time to intervene and recover my account in the event of unauthorized access. However, some apps I found on GitHub show that Family View can be easily bypassed. I tested it myself; it really works.

This situation seriously worried me.This is a common risk for all users, especially because of the easy availability of apps that develop bypass methods.

Family View is not a security feature. It is a parental control to prevent children from playing or buying games not suitable for them and to limit their access to community features (that they are too young to use). It is not meant to be used to keep your account safe from "hackers".

For that matter, Steam accounts are not hacked. They are hijacked, usually through phising and other forms of social engineering.
