Steam needs to take full control of the Assassin's Creed Shadows discussion board.
The mods over there are on a rampage perma-banning anyone who doesn't praise the game for a "first offense."

I posted the following: After all of the negativity surrounding this game, you still had the audacity to charge $70 for it? Your company deserves the sinking ship situation that it's in.

Perma'd. I guess it's against Steam discussion rules to be unhappy with a game's price. Worthy of a perma-ban. Enough is enough. Remove devs' abilities to have their own discussion moderators. This has been a major problem for years. They don't enforce the rules, they just ban people that say things they don't like.

It's their forums and if you are posting negative posts they have a right to ban you.

You made a personal attack against their company and that's a clear reason to get banned in most places.

No, it's not their forum. It's Steam's forum.

No, it's really not. I also didn't "attack their company" I just pointed out a fact.

Exactly.
Right. Again i just went thru this on another thread.

Steam, Valve, Lord Gaben, Mr Newell, whoever is running this place right now (and it don't seem anyone knows who), is ultimately responsible for what happens at these Hubs.

This is the Game Hub Forum..

https://steamcommunity.com/app/3159330/discussions/

If you notice, at the top of the page, over where it says "AC Shadows", we see the word "Steam" above all else.

That means the hub does not belong to Ubi. It does not belong to the moderator. It does not belong to the studio. It belongs to Steam, who is owned by Mr Newell.

Therefore, Mr Newell is responsibile for ALL matters happening on HIS property.

Whether they want to admit it or not. Whether they want to abscond responsibility or not.

Therefore, correspondence on these moderation matters, on all hubs or on anything on this site, should be emailed and directed, to Mr Gaben Newell :steamfacepalm:

Wrong.
They payed for the use of that space that means they have control.
You enter a store and start complaining about the prices, the staff have every right to tell you to leave and not come back.
I have personally told customers at my workplace to leave if they didn't like the prices and were only going to complain.

You don't like the price? Go shop somewhere else then. Is what I told them.

Vote with your wallet, not your voice.

What the devs do in THEIR game hubs, so long as no LAWS are broken, are not Steam's problem.
The devs PAID for the right to use that space.
Kicking people out of a PRIVATE space is not illegal.
Go learn how PRIVATE space works and come back.

You enter someone's PRIVATE space and tell them things they don't like? They have EVERY LEGAL RIGHT to remove you and there is nothing you can do about it.

They bought Steam? Oh wow, must've missed that. Ubi went from going broke to now buying off Mr Newells company.

Unless you mean, they "rented" the space from Steam, which makes more sense. But the site belongs to Steam, not to them.

If laws are broken on this site, the complaint goes to DIRECTLY to Bellevue Washington.

And if that's where the buck stops, Mr Newell should get ALL correspondence about moderation and practicies on HIS site and property.

You clearly do not know how the Steam Partner Program works.
Go educate yourself on it.
