Please stop calling me "banned" or "kicked"!
Hello, Middle Ages Livers, why do you always call or write only "banned"? But I don't come from Middle Ages, just come from current time ( futuristic time ) I never call "banned" because "banned" is an incompatible verb for futuristic time. I call only "forbidden" because my understanding is only "forbidden".

And why do you call "kicked" if I kick ball against computer but computer is not soccer, just is a computer, too. Computer doesn't play football, just work for printing, writing or eating power/energy. But I never call "kicked" because I sit at computer how do I kick computer? Do you mean I would damage computer? That's really crazy.
I call only "removed" or "thrown out" like "You have been removed from server." That's correct for my understanding.

Please change both verbs now!

Whatever I will report government? I am serious because I feel stupid if I buy games from Steam and I feel painful with "banned" or "kicked" that's why I feel like somebody insults me. I really hate who calls or writes incompatible verbs.

Thanks for understanding me!

Example 2: the user has been banned -> it is wrong = just the user has been forbidden = der Nutzer wurde verboten. That's correctly.
Example 3: the school

That sentence is not even correct in german....

Btw. The most used german - english dictionary
( https://de.pons.com/übersetzung-2/englisch-deutsch/banned) gives the following example for how the Word is used:

Spielverbot (would more or less translate to game ban) - ban

Spielverbot haben - to be banned

Of course you can replace the Spiel (game) with other stuff like forum, discussion area and so on.

Wow. Didn't you make this exact same topic a few months back? The answer is still the same: you don't understand English.

Yep, you did: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/0/4625855174854895246/

Also here: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/0/4423184558851089208/
and here i thought someone bumped one of the two threads. OP, it is clear you are either not really understanding English or just out right looking for ways to troll or looking to farm awards.

But i went and tried chatgpt to see what response it will give for your thread, so see below what it says:

Hello DeafMan1983,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the words "banned" and "kicked." I understand that you prefer "forbidden" and "removed" because they make more sense to you. However, in common online and gaming language, "banned" means someone is not allowed to return, and "kicked" means someone is temporarily removed.

These words are widely used and understood in gaming communities, but I appreciate your perspective. If specific wording is important to you, you might want to check the settings or rules of the platform you're using to see if language preferences can be adjusted.

I hope this helps clarify things. Let me know if you have any other concerns.

Conflict misunderstanding with German Language.

Example: the road is banned -> it is wrong- it means the road is closed = die Straße ist gesperrt/geschlossen .
Example 2: the user has been banned -> it is wrong = just the user has been forbidden = der Nutzer wurde verboten. That's correctly.
Example 3: the school banned the books -> it is wrong = just the school forbade the book. = die Schule verbat den Büchern.

That's why I don't understand which sperren, schließen or verbieten. Why do you call only ban, banned? I don't have any understanding. Please be carefully.

I don't like to translate if I use from German to English.

The US banned TikTok??? It means the US forbade TikTok. That's why.

I am sorry for misunderstanding with problem for to ban. That's why to ban is incompatibly. Thank you for understanding me!
Words can have multiple meanings. That is why there is a dictionary. Please refer to it when you aren't sure if the word is used in the correct context.
Example 2 isn't even a correct german sentence.
Example 3 is also not a correct german sentence.

There is a reason why word for word translation is generally worse than a translation of the sentence using its context.
If you do translation word by word you end up with English á la Lothar Matthäus. "You hit me not over the ear" (zu Deutsch: Du haust mich nicht übers Ohr)
Which if you translate this correctly into English results in:
You won't fool me.

Also just want to add one thing, my one afrikaans teacher had a saying, "direk vertaal, direk verkeerd", if i translate it directly says, "directly translates directly wrongly" (used google)

You understand it quite well. You even pick the correct interpretation. Stop insisting that it is wrong.

German and English are different languages, and follow different rules.

Yep. It's foolish to suggest that English must follow German rules and sentence structure, otherwise we would all sound like this:

Stop posting, you are objectively wrong and wasted everyone's time by copy and pasting a post that was already foolish. If you don't wanna be banned and kicked from things don't do things that earn such a response. Don't whine about words when you got punished.

On the other hand, in the immortal words of The Monkeys

"Listen to the banned."
