Any mmorpgs without subscription

Im interested in the mmorpgs but they all seem to have subscription. I think its like to much to spend 15/month but I could buy the subscription atleast for few months. So is there any mmos withtout the need of buying subscription? Can I still play if i buy subscription once and then dont buy it?

Any subscription based game, if you are unable to pay the sub you lose access to what the sub gives you.

In EVE online, you would lose access to tier 2 and tier 3 ships and have limited skills you could learn.
In Final Fantasy 14, if you stop paying your sub you lose access to the game.
The way you are restricted depends on the game.

You don't get to keep the benefits of a paying player if you stop paying.

alright, ik that i cant keep the same benefits but which mmos let me still play the game. Like wow, you cant play without sub

There's a bunch of MMOs that are 'free/buy to play', but then give you more if you subscribe.

Elder Scrolls Online, for instance, buying the base package gives you the original whole game, but if you subscribe you get access to all the DLC zones/dungeons/etc along with some shop currency. If you outright buy access to certain DLCs, you'll still have access if your subscription stops.

As a 20 year veteran of Runescape I can say the game's free to play up to a point, a huge portion of the map, quests, and skills are locked behind membership.

You CAN use in-game currency (gold) to purchase bonds, which you can use to buy membership however.

I haven't paid for a membership in like 10 years due to it. Albeit the likelihood of being able to afford these bonds regularly on f2p is....a bit of a challenge due to bonds nearing 143 mil and it's 2 bonds per 4 weeks of playtime.

You can continue playing Runescape if your membership expires, however you'll lose access to members only items, skills, and areas when it does.

Many games have a fist payment and then no more.
Star citizen is not special in that.
Also as a playable ALPHA state game, most people won't like it.

NWN is an older game but a classic. You can play it SP, MP, or join persistent worlds. It's very cheap on sale or bundled.

It's been years since I played this, but you could get reasonably far back in the day just through grinding in free-to-play areas.

Lots of online multiplayer RPGs can be played without a subscription. That might be worth looking into if you're not specifically looking for a clone of World of Warcraft.
