Steam discovery queue/recommendations

Shouldn't steam recommend games to you based on games recently played or purchased to your library?

I was curious as I have purchased tonnes of adventure, RPG, Female protagonist games over time, but how come steam never recommended games to me like Alice Madness returns, this I found in the last big sale as it was advertised, and games like harvestella wasn't recommended to me, which is a bit of everything like female protagonist/adventure, and games like Sword and fairy not recommended which I happened to find on Fitgirl website.

Shouldn't steam recommend games or similar games to me I've been playing or like?
