They keep telling you to contact support and not to dispute it on the forums.
No. But most user problems aren't unique or special, so customized personalized response that all really say the same thing to make the user feel special may not have value.
There's lots of support and topics to moderate, talking to every bored user that wants to argue or wants someone to explain how to behave until the user is satisfied is a poor use of resources.
And I would argue the ban/warning system is pretty straight forward, act like a decent human being and don't engage in personal attacks, and don't worry about what happens to everyone else you might have an axe to grind with and you'll stay out of trouble and won't need to worry about the details of those systems.

Profile Showcases is not an avatar, what were you putting in the showcases?
1 can trigger the other just to nuke your community page
They work based on reports, if what is reported is against the rules, that's all they need and nothing else needs to be looked into. If nothing seems to be against the rules, the ticket is dismissed.
