What's worrying? An issue was discovered, Valve reacted and has been proactive about contacting affected users. It's an extremely rare occurrence. Did you own the game? Or are you trying to float the idea that one malicious actor makes all other developers suspect?

It's all good OP. The perpetrators have been tracked down and summarily executed by Steam support.

Worth noting that the game's peak player count was 5.

Actually the ones who discovered it had to make quite a lot of noise for this to still take days to resolve. If they were the kind “uninstall, report and move on”, who knows. Next malicious devs may be more skilled than some first attempt asset flipper.
