So just because your games are not winning it's a farce?
But tell us, what are the right choices?
Game of the year winner....I feel like it's relatively easy to call who it will be every year and this year was no exception. Heck, I don't even think it was a competition.
Now show me number in actual free world where your s**ty wukong lags behind TopSpin 2K25.
GTA Online.
Once again, such numbers are usual for chinese games, nothing special. wukong is the first time when such game was released on Steam. They would win GoTYs and labour of love every year easily (as long as Steam allows chinese anti-west bots here).
Show me numbers outside china cause STALKER 2 and Metaphor and RDR1 are being played by people worldwide, not just one country.
What you showed are estimates by 3rd party site cause Steam hides real numbers since ages ago.
If we start caring for china only then all games are trash except chinese medieval MMOs, wukong, Genshin, fortnite and dota 2. They'd constantly win GOTY and labours.
This year all I saw was Steam China 2024 awards. Now I wanna see usual Steam Awards 2024.
Surely if the Chinese were voting for their games then all categories would have been won by Chinese games...

63.43% English
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl (1643320)

Black Myth: Wukong (2358720)
Whooping 89.14% in Chinese
Only 6.30% English
So roughly only 10% of buyers are from other countries yet shills try to tell us this tencent game is as popular worldwide as CP2077 was and should win WorldWide Steam GOTY.
P.S. I was a bit lazy and only copied English lang. while other Western languages obviously added to % of non-chinese.
The only game above where Chinese is also heavily present is Metaphor with 33%.
Infinite loading screen topics were buried by trolls wanting to talk about Nintendo copyright and whether they'll sue. There were game breaking bugs that killed most server save files in weeks if the server was remotely active. As players had their profiles start to be corrupted if the global server file save size got to be over 22MBs, and new players couldn't join the server either in the wake of all the old players effectively being banned because there was a palbox limit that was often hit within the first 3 days of the server going live.
The Pal starving to death glitch was annoying too, took forever for it to get just kind of fixed. Not to mention the cheaters that could permanently brick your character, bypass faction permissions to delete your base/palbox, steal your pals, and crash/wipe the server too.
