Nvidia GeForce now - Steam games needs Epic Games
Hope someone can help.

I purchased medieval dynasty when it was early access and had played it for a couple of years before moving on to other games.

I have revisited it and tried to load it through Nvidia as I have a MacBook and where it used to load no problem, it is now asking me to use epic games launcher. I try to sign in with my steam account and when I have signed in, I get an access denied as I do not own this game?

Any ideas? I don't really want to have to spend another £20 on the epic games store when I have already purchased it?

In GeForce NOW I see Medieval Dynasty available from Epic Games Store, Steam, and XBox. When you try to play Medieval Dynasty, you should be able to pick "Change Game Store" from the 3 dots menu next to the buy button and then choose Steam.

If not, go to settings in GeForce NOW. Is your Steam account that owns Medieval Dynasty connected to your GeForce NOW account? Did you resync your Steam games?

EDIT: Try what is suggested in post #1 first.

The issue is probably related to Epic Online Services and not the Epic Launcher,

Do the following and see if to fixes the issue.

1. Download Epic Games Launcher and install it completely (Launcher, Eos, Prerequisites). No need to log in or register.

2. Go to Start - Settings - Apps and uninstall Epic Games Launcher. Windows should ask for permission to action. First permission to uninstall Epic Game Launcher - Yes. Second permission to uninstall Eos - No.

You have to play it thru the store you bought the game. If you bought it on Steam, you have to play it on Steam. If you bought it on Epic, same thing. Follow the instructions above.

If you read the post you would see he bought it through Steam(you can also see it on his profile). So he should not be getting the error he's getting since he owns it through Steam.

Well is that a Steam matter, or a Ge Force Now matter?

And so maybe he should be reporting this to them?

That would likely be the correct answer. Happy New Year as well.

He doesn't know, hence why he's asking here.

And so why did you reply to me? The correct answer to him based on your own observations, is this is not a Steam matter, and should be posted on the Ge Force Now forums.

Thank you, and have a pleasant day.

Could be either. Again, hence why they asked here.

No, it can't be either. What does launching a game on Ge Force Now, have to do with Steam?

This, the correct answer...

As I and others have explained in detail, GFN launches the games through Steam from a remote computer that simply streams it to your browser.

If he is getting an error that is saying he does not own the game when he does, it could be Steam not properly connecting with his account to GFN or it could be GFN not properly connecting to his account.

Steam nor GFN is either hardware or an OS.
