I personally loved Assassins Creed Rogue it is full of so many surprises

but the First is the Historical one and full of many things to do. Assassins Creed Odyssey awesome game..

For me it's AC Odyssey. Good story, unique gameplay with beautiful landscapes and architecture.

That would be 2, although the first one had a remarkable purity of vision to it that you just never see in corporate games anymore. It was truly a classic representative of the last meaningful advance between console generations. But 2 was even better in many ways, with what felt like a unique setting.

After that, Ass Creed slid into being part of the dairy industry via several missteps. Brotherhood had its moments if you consider it an expansion for 2, but it introduced things like the "100% mission completion" that was essentially utilizing whatever frustrating weaknesses the gameplay had as fun challenges to overcome. Which is just wrong. And of course the story went right off the rails due to the perceived need to stretch it out in order to keep the sequels coming. I recall reading somewhere that around that time, Patrice Desilets was tossed off the Ubi premises by security and some central Committee was put in charge of developing the Iconic Brand.

As for the tenuously related RPG lites that followed, never had any interest in those.

Black flag is still my favorite but that might be due to nostalgia before they took down the mobile/companion app

*They made a woke game based on Black Flag called "skull and bones" or something which was an absolute woke flop, and is totally crap.

Black flag is still the best pirate game aside from Sid Meier's Pirates.
