Bot profiles

Is anyone else getting spammed friend requests from mutiple profiles sporting some random profile pic, along with some randomly generated name with the description

"If you are reading this, I probably just one tapped you from range, shot you through a smoke, or prefired you and so you are probably checking my profile to see if I look like a hacker. Thank you for feeding my ego. Have a nice day, and please leave a comment."

Or is it just me? I've looked it up a few times and have found no one speaking about this.


Not to mention ALL of these "profiles" are from Mcdonald and Heard Islands, ALL with the EXACT same GTA VI showcase art work gifs, and similar play times on games like TF2 CSGO and usually some random third game but that's it.


Just wondering if literally anyone else is getting anything because it's pretty annoying and no matter how many times I ignore or report profiles, it seems like nothing is happeneing.

If anyone knows something let me know lol cause yeah it's annoying.

But in all seriousness, yeah its very fishy. Most likely a scammer, not much you can do other then decline, report and block.

Haha, there are indeed really many profiles with this text (bing. com indexes them), but they look like different real people. But your selection still could be someone’s bots.

Perhaps but I would find it hard to assume its an admirer, especially since they would have to set up all these accounts and get similar games and re do all the art and workshop showcase stuff, but I get these requests almost EVERYDAY, which is just a bother to see. But I guess you're right, but why only me is the question, there HAS to be others who are dealing with this blight.

Here are one of the profiles in question, I have had around 10 requests from profiles that have EVERYTHING the same except for the name, profile pic, and hours of playtime on games, but showcase art work, workshop showcase, location of Mcdonald and Heard Island, all the same.

You are not allowed to post links to other users profiles. It will get you in trouble, it is called naming and shaming. remove all of the links. click on the profile and report them if you feel they are fake bot accounts, but never post them in the forums.

You play or have played thousands of hours of TF2, have a sizable TF2 inventory and are a part of a few TF2 groups where scammers like to target members from.

Not a big surprise.

Thanks for the heads up but these are bot profiles not associated with real people.
