But in all seriousness, yeah its very fishy. Most likely a scammer, not much you can do other then decline, report and block.
Perhaps but I would find it hard to assume its an admirer, especially since they would have to set up all these accounts and get similar games and re do all the art and workshop showcase stuff, but I get these requests almost EVERYDAY, which is just a bother to see. But I guess you're right, but why only me is the question, there HAS to be others who are dealing with this blight.
Here are one of the profiles in question, I have had around 10 requests from profiles that have EVERYTHING the same except for the name, profile pic, and hours of playtime on games, but showcase art work, workshop showcase, location of Mcdonald and Heard Island, all the same.

Thanks for the heads up but these are bot profiles not associated with real people.
Yeah I skimmed through the rules and guidelines and online code of conduct for steam and really didn't find anything.
