If people want to continue to use the horse and buggy to get around in, they can knock themselves out all they want. But the rest of the world is under no obligation whatsoever to humor them, nor cater to their wants. Enjoy your horse and buggy people, and those self-imposed limitations that come with it.
What limitations do you speak of?
Windows 7 just runs fine and has no limitations. Its also safe for me because I dont need a Nanny for my safety. I am a grown up person perfectly able to take care of myself.
Linux Mint with Steam installed for the future:

SteamOS for Steam devices which is Linux-based. I would even use SteamOS if it gets to a point where Linux Mint is today and Valve guarantees to not sniff out my data like Microsoft does.

To be honest with ya, Gaming as a whole never deserved any money from the very beginning as well.
Limitations? Lol what? win 10/11 lovers are being limited by MS as how you can control your OS.
Noone has provied any good argument for win 10 apart from New and Shiny. Ok and?
Enter Linux - disable useless BS in basic disto version
Not sure I want to click ANY link any more.. or even use Email, or any chat client at this point... ESPECIALLY in windows. There are just way too many ways for exploit artists to screw with windows, and it seems that windows allows most of it. I mean Kernel level anti-cheat... lol. right. Windows happily lets the 'big boys' install said 'rootkit'.
How about the Sony Rootkit back in the day... the one that disabled the cd-writer via a rootkit they installed using a hybrid music CD. I thought mine was broken because of it. Windows just let it happen.
It hasn't changed.. but you know .. 'hur dur, security'.
I remember when I had windows 7 .. man I loved it. I bought Oculus, tried to install.. said it required windows 10.
OMG the crap I went through to get my computer updated so windows would have current drivers, as my hardware did not have many that functioned correctly in windows 10, I.E. Soundblaster Audigy Platinum. Check out 'Danel K and Soundblaster' if you have not already.
I went through all of that.. got the Oculus working, then they stated 'We are sorry, you can now install it in windows 7" OMG.
Yea.. screw Microsoft with a nut driver and any big boy that decides to push people along via driver / software via the windows 'ecosystem', and 'hur dur security', in my opinion.
I ended up moving on to Linux, and I couldn't be happier. In my opinion, the crap that Microsoft is pushing Via windows, and the fact that it looks and feels like a damned storefront/cloud service, it seems that they are 'grasping at straws' lately; finding any way to keep windows users stuck in windows. Not a good sign.
