It can be installed in any language. Includes all critical, recommended, and security updates and updates for all versions of Internet Explorer.
Why Steam can't keep working on w7 even if old client?
A 4790K + RTX 3060 worked perfectly well for modern games.
People don't want to be forced to discard working hardware and have to buy new expensive hardware just because Tech Execs want to spy on them.
At some day, the back-end will change enough to the point that the old Win7 client will no longer be accepted and not allow you to log in or the client becoming so broken to the point of being useless. That can take anywhere from months to years depending on what Valve will be changing under the hood
Valve or any developer for that matter. has 0 interest to support Windows 7 by any capacity as neither newer tools support it and the user base isn't there to justify the effort doing so
Plesse enjoy it
if anything, from where all of this Win7 tribalism came from?
You were the ones who told people to upgrade from XP/Vista back in 2019 after all
I myself kept clinging on using WinXP up the very last days of support. Because I didn't want to go through a OS upgrade. Nowadays I breezed through W7, 10 and 11. Upgrading the OS isn't what it used to be.
There's totally going to be people going tribal and not wanting to let go W10 by the time support is dropped.
I've been there too. Fortunately system upgrades have gotten better and safer with time. It's also different to be an early adopter (where you're more exposed to bugs and errors) than a late one (when things are far more ironed on)
