But they do, that is a right Valve has given them and anyone else that sales a game on Steam.
To moderate their forums as they see fit. That includes making their own rules on top of Valve's.
They are far from the only one to have rules like this.
Quite obvious really, considering how many concessions they get when they sell here.
Valve says that devs/publishers can run their forum any way they like. Quite a hot topic among the general forums as of late.
I have my own opinions against agendas and I still don't go in forums to try and annoy people with that. (Like so many people think they're entitled to do). The fact they balance things out by not allowing ANY real world politics is an awesome move.
If you don't like the game.... ignore it.... find a game you do like... I have no idea why this is so hard for some people.
They're still trying to claw back lost marketshare today. Gaming has some stupid PR.
I remember when your forum accounts had to be linked to your game account just to use their forum and people could get their game accounts banned when their forum accounts got banned if they broke the rules in the late 90's / early 00's.
Only outrageous thing is the record job losses this year in gaming.
A pity, I loved W3 but I'm not interested in this.
