SEGA doesnt get the respect it deserves

For the past 5-6 years they have been in the top 5 publishers in aggregate on metacritic, nearly all their games are DEI free. Also they were the first company to start creating 3D games, a template that the industry has taken advantage of since for the past 32 years. When they put out stuff like Bayonetta Vanquish Yakuza Valkyria Chronicles Alien Isolation Sonic and the Total War games it does my head in how they have half the followers of a western slop company like Ubisoft or EA. Who just copy and paste there game template from one game to another with different graphics and assets (Ubi) or shove dei and macrotransaction live services into everything they release (EA). Also, watch this video, the head of nvidia Jensen Huang, has stated that if it wasnt for sega, nvidia probably wouldnt exist today. nvidia was nearly bankrupt in the late 90s until sega saw potential in them and gave them the contract to make the gpu chips for the dreamcast back in the day. Then made the lindbergh and other newer arcade boards for them in the mid 2000s.

I'm not sure what you think the acronym "DEI" means, but none of the definitions I'm familiar with make any sense here.

diversity equity inclusion. forcing them in games where they dont fit naturally. The DEI part is really a side note to what im saying elsewhere in my post. Hell, even EA owes its existance to sega as well, since they wouldnt exist either if sega didnt let them use their custom cartridges on the sega genesis to start selling their famous madden/fifa/nhl sports games.

I dont want to get into politics. Wasnt the main point at all for creating the thread. It was that sega literally pioneered the first 3d characters into a video game, and gave by far the biggest gpu maker on the planet nvidia their first break, so they could then go on to make gpus that not only 7/10 of everyone with a pc use, but also in medicine and other fields today. That was the main point of the thread. People can be whatever they want to be in irl and they are no better or worse than a straight man or woman. So im not gonna be baited into that trap if thats what the intention was.

Still looked better and had more interesting ideas than Concord and unlike Sony, SEGA had the sense to cancel it before releasing it to the public. But no criticism for them eh?

They're pulling some weird stuff like keeping denuvo on yakuza even though it's on gog, and charging for hard mode. Pushed out a bad monkey ball remake, broken compared to the original, pulled sonic out of the genesis collection games, probably some more things...I do like sega though not counting some bad business, maybe they will put out some proper ports of their old games, and their new ones look promising
