Need help from a valve moderator/employee. I think someone is trying to scam me

10 Minutes ago i got a message from a person on discord who ive never met, on here or there but am in a mutual discord server with, telling me he accidentally reported me that i scammed him out of $2500 and that i need to friend request this "offical" steam moderator through discord (not through here), and get in contact with them or they will permanently ban my account in 3 hours. I've never done anything wrong in 5 years on steam, never had any harassment, vac bans etc yet this person is claiming that he accidentally reported me and i need to sort it out asap with him on discord. When i checked the "moderator" on discord, the account is 2 days old, which makes me think he is actually trying to scam me. ill link the photo im refering to and if an actual real steam moderator can get in contact with me and lmk if its a real ticket or a fake one i would be grateful.

You are correct. Whatever they are saying or showing you is made up.

If Steam needs your attention for something, you would see a yellow or red banner on your Steam client alerting you of message that you need to read.

Ignore them don't give them anything and scan you pc.. Stop using Discord its full of malware.

Man, this is notoriously old scam. Remember one thing, no one from valve employers initial discussion with users.

thanks everyone, i reported him on discord and the issue with the photo attached to steam support. username is potasr12 on discord if anyone wants to make sure he gets banned off there. Probably wont be a big deal for him though since the discord account isnt even 24 hours old. BTW i gave everyone max points for helping me out today, hopefully you can get some backgrounds or avatars you wanted from it

All you need to do is report them on Discord as a scam, then tell them to get F*cked and block them. There rtying to get your Steam info so they can take your account. Had one try it on me.
