Discovery queue nerfed - I will never touch that thing again. For the first time ever I will not nominate anything for the awards - 11 more stickers for my crowded inventory? No thanks!!!

Yep. This holiday sale is dead to me. It's too bad, in the old days Steam gave away trading cards and they had fun games and stories that kept us coming back each day. They brought joy to the season. Now that is all gone. This is my last visit to the Steam store.

Even worse, they could not be bothered to explain the sudden change. I think we all know why they are doing this, but it behooves them to at least be upfront about it.

In fact this year the whole "side" to the sales is rather...lazy; in particular I struggle to explain the choice of giving stickers instead of cards, which certainly does not encourage you to explore the shop every day.

lol steam must show us then comparison, how many users lookin for card or really lookin games

There really is no incentive to return to the store now. At least with the daily free card, people were using the discovery queue each day but now I'd say a huge portion wont use it at all especially if all the reward is sticker bloat that can't be removed.

For me, there no standout prices either and there are some titles which cost more than they've have done for years. The deep discount page makes a welcome return but there's barely 15 or so games on there and it doesn't change each day either so that isn't exactly going to get people flocking back.

I know it's said every year it seems but I genuinely feel this is the worst sale we've ever had for a multitude of reasons.

Before you know it they will be no better than EPIC. Well at least EPIC gives you some nice free games at times. So I guess EPIC is catching up to them if they keep cutting out what players like about steam.

Don't think I've used the queue since back when it was first launched.
(don't use curators or any of the other new garbage they keep cluttering the store with, either.)

Right? The sales used to mean something - free cards ... events etc. This year it's about cash only! F*** the stickers!
