Events for sales were removed a long time ago only because they obviously loaded the launcher, I can understand that.

But taking away the ability to receive event trading cards... Gabe, why are you doing this to us?

The first 10 minutes are generally a terrible time to check for stuff. SteamDB shows nothing for it at the moment, but it's also a very new game so the chance of a good size discount is fairly low.
