Using another OpenXR runtime instead of SteamVR
Hi,
I run Steam on Linux (ubuntu 24)
Prior to the Steam Client update from November, I was able to configure my 2 flight sims (Aerofly FS4 & x-Plane 12) to use Wivrn or Envision for VR.

But since the Steam client update in November, it looks like I cannot use another OpenXR runtime instead of SteamVR. No matter what options I put in the launch options, the sim launches SteamVR which prevents my headset from connecting to the Steam game.

So, I have the following questions:
1. Do I need to do something new to NOT use SteamVR
2. Is this forced use of SteamVR intentional? If no, then can I expect a future Steam client to allow me to use a different OpenXR run time.

Thanks,

Afaik Aerofly FS4 is OpenVR only and XPlane 12 supports OpenXR only on windows and only OpenVR on Linux. So the first thing to check is whether they use OpenVR and for whatever reason fail to use OpenComposite, or whether they use OpenXR and just use the wrong OpenXR runtime.
