Very disappointed in Steam for selling Porn games.
I am showing my granddaughter my Skyrim game on steam. Mind you I haven't been here in awhile. We exit out of the game and I show her where it is in the steam store. Right there before our/her eyes are several porn games with young woman with very, way over and unreal, unnatural sized body areas, if you know what I mean. Now how do I hide from her on a family site? Sorry for my past memory failure but I thought this was a family place? I thought Steam had set guide lines years ago to not go in this direction? I know the owners, and stock holders of Steam no longer read this stuff but the rest of us do. Am I the only mature male offended this or are there others? Last, let me say Steam you are taking big chances dealing with these kind of people. Porn sites are loaded with viruses. Why would you ever go in this direction? You should be ashamed. Really!

Very disappointed in dirty Grandpa, choosing to opt in to be shown adult material and then showing it to minors.
Why did you go in that direction?

Yeah, porn games have taken over steam and they're here to stay unfortunately, on the bright side, you can block them from ever showing in the first place on the store preferences (by clicking on your account name next to your wallet balance)

That's the problem, very much younger person than me, I opted out many years ago. This is why you do not do business and have these people around because they do not care. It is what they are. Besides isn't this site family oriented?

This is bait right? A poor, desperate attempt to earn some clown awards?

If this is real (which I doubt), then it's your own fault as you selected the option for Steam to show you adult only content.

Steam has never been a "family site" storefront. It's a business, they will sell any and all games that don't break the law. Selling adult only games does not break the law.

If you wish to shield your granddaughter from seeing adult only content, then it's your responsibility to do so, such as making sure the option to see adult only content is blocked off on the options page.

If you're offended then that's your own pearl clutching issue, no reasonable, rational adult man is going to be offended by it, especially when it's easily ignored.

If anyone should be ashamed it should be you for making such an unnecessary goofball thread.

That's the problem, I did block them years ago. And that's the other problem these kind of people do not care. For them rules are made to be broken.

You don't opt out, Out is the default. You opted in. Might need to revisit those store preferences if your circumstances have changed and you need to be more responsible regarding your account.

Your the last one that I am repeating myself about opting out years ago.

You do not get it. it not about responsibility, it is about doing the right thing. And I am wasting my time. It is truly a shame what we have become as a society. It would be nice if we could advance at least a little bit on the evolutionary scale. We are no better than the animals we evolved from.

And yet, at some point, you still ticked a box that said "please show me nudity, gore and violence".
Several boxes, even.

Sir, this is a McDonalds...

If you opted out of it, which on my account is even a standard, for everyone, then it is not true, or it is a mistake.

These spaces have been so censored I can't even write **** with the first letter of the word r-word, or the b-word, or the 4 c-words or the ********** or the **** on the side of the ****** together combined with the new american popular words of ***** and ****** with ***********.

So I highly doubt what you write is true.

It's just another disappointing day in real life. Thanks to all of you for waking me up from my sleep. The thread starter, Win2000fan.

Yes, I'm absolutely sure that's a real thing that happened, OP.

Years ago, Valve used to police the store watching for horny games to bonk. They changed their attitude towards this kind of games, they announced that they no longer wanted to moderate porn games, as a result, more lewd games showed up, very surprising. Even now, even when blocking them in the store preference, some lewdish games slip through, nothing you can't fix by blocking by tags tho. Just gotta update your filters

Thank you. Now why would steam want to do business with any of these people? They are inviting viruses and other scams. How can this be a money making, positive of any kind for them?
