Steam Support still deleting name history over nothing
I've seen posts here regarding this several times over the past couple of years, and now it has happened to me: a message from Steam, claiming that my profile violated community standards and that my "Player Name History" was purged to make this right.

Steam claims that they can't help with this because they don't store the purged information, and they refuse to use any of the third-party websites out there which DO store the info. Since they are CLEARLY overworked and not just useless, I went ahead and accessed one of them for them to produce this scandalous name history: https://steamid.uk/profile/76561197979568958

Osawa Ascendant
Dong Bai
Captain Dekomaru
Batmax
Touch The Cow
Sachi Is Unimpressed
DarkRhapsody
Dark Rhapsody

That's it. That's the pit of vulgarity they apparently felt necessary to utterly purge in order to protect the internet.

The one and only name I could think may have caught their eye would be Dong Bai ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dong_Bai_(Han_dynasty) ), so if you ever wanted to weaponize third-world customer service to harass people on this platform, it seems they are now using some form of garbage AI filters to do their policing for them with zero safety nets for false positives like this.

Stop collecting yachts and pay attention to your golden goose again, Gaben. Outsourcing by people who don't care even a fraction as much as you used to is slowly but surely making this place a dump on the same level as Epic.

Guess what? USERS reported the names and Steam Support agreed with the reports, Stop trying to skirt the rules.

Given that the name history has a 3 year gap in it, that third party site probably did not see whatever username was found to be offensive.

There are no missing names, I'm just way too lazy to change my profile very often. If anything, that site is reporting too many, as the duplicates for 'Dong Bai' and 'Dark Rhapsody' shouldn't be there and were only showing a single time in the in-client Steam name history.

You do know that there are sites that will actually show your name history right? Even the ones that you are leaving out. If you are leaving any out. Do you really want me to look?
