Anyone similar experiences with lying and thieving devs? (Hero Siege)

There is one game out there I bought many years ago, it has changed significantly over time now no longer the game we first bought to the point its basically an entirely new game.

Anyway, I have recently been permanently banned from the discussion forum of this game on Steam for pointing out the game is different ad the main Dev is a massive liar, I have never broke any rules or anything sinister within the actual game itself, but this is the worst bit I have also been blocked from playing this game ONLINE through Steam by the Dev basically STEALING a game which I've paid for including all DLC it has to offer.

I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced something similar from one of their games, its pretty disgusting that Steam have allowed this to happen to be honest, it makes me think I probably WON'T ever be purchasing anything off Steam again in the future.

Anyway let me know of any experiences you've had similar please all. Have a nice day/vening/night etc <3

which is the weird part yes, somehow this dev has managed to force my game to loop through Sync > UAC > launch, over and over and over, I had to edit some setting files to even make the game work using Local...

its despicable.

If you think a developer is specifically targeting you with malicious software like this, contact Steam Support.

But to me this just sounds like a bug.

being banned from connecting to multiplayer is separate. also op you should have complained on the discord instead going forward if you ever complain again. doing it via steam like that is obviously just giving them information to use against you

Game bans are specifically for multiplayer gameplay. Being game banned does not affect singleplayer.

well i cant access their discord anymore either, they have literally made it so anything attached to this Steam account email is blocked... ;D

I have even tried refunding the product stating it doesn't work even though purchased years ago lol... waiting for steam support to be on it.

Starting to sound like something your end. You will get a ban notice when trying to join a discord server if banned.

They can't control who connects through any other way.

Yeah...definitely a bug. Dev could just ban him from the multiplayer servers and be done with it.
