Valve Censoring Customers That Disagree with DEI
I very rarely post on the forums. I responded to a thread about DEI in games and I disagreed with the practice saying it was wrong. my post was deleted and the thread was locked and any "positive emojis linked to the post were removed and "negative" emojis were left.

Does anyone else have this kind of experience?

Which part of diversity, equity, and inclusion do you disagree with?
Send a message to Asmongold on YT or other creators that think Steam is doing great on those issues.

I have no issue on those matters, but nothing will be done, unless pressure is put on Valve from outside forces.

Well, what Game Hub was it?
Seeing as this is the only user-visible post you have since 2007 this would make it questionable on why one went into a game hub & what was said.

Well considering you've never posted on the forum, your making very specific claims about "removing emoji's" that they don't do, and not saying if it was closed by Valve or Moderators one has to doubt the validity of your claims.

Especially when you don't post the thread this supposedly happened in.

I mean one can make any claim they want without a shred of proof afterall.
Sounds like the moderators made the correct call. Try improving as a person. What part of diversity, inclusion or equity do you have a problem with? (Hint: any problem with it is inheirently antiamerican)
What was the ban reason given?

If true, good.

It's a subject that has been overrun with award farming trolls for far too long.

Years now, yeah. Devs are finally realizing that the game hubs they run, are theirs to run as they see fit.

So most of the "I've been banned for no reason" as of late was mostly people hopping on the "woke bad" spam-wagon.

How about the fact it shifts the priority away from quality and creativity. As a whole and on paper DEI looks and sounds good with noble goals. Unfortunately DEI when implemented into games feels more like it's trying to meet a quota than actually create interesting and unique characters and story. While some moderators are correct in removing blatantly hateful and intolerant posts there are more than a few instances of moderators abusing their powers to remove people who criticized the implementation in a way that would be open to discussion and productive as a community. Personally (and unpopularly) i believe a good example of DEI implementation is "The Last of Us II" and enjoyed the story ( Except Joel's death but i understand why they did it ). While a bad example of DEI implementation is "Battlefiled V" as it is a Semi-realistic WWII game that misrepresents women's role in WWII. Women were only used as front line fighter's by the Soviet Union, not to mention they served as British aircraft operators, american pilots, this is not to say that women did not fight on the front lines but the game misrepresents it. Forgive me but the current state of DEI in gaming is not perfect, it has noble goals that i support yet it falls short of what they should do. Furthermore if someone doesn't support DEI than they aren't "unamerican" they just have different opinions than us and that is okay. Not to mention the forum is not limited to Americans only.

That's not due to DEI, that's just business. It has always happened.

Equity =/= equality

Equality means equal rights and opportunities.

Equity means equal outcomes, and it allows for various forms of discrimination.

I just looked up the word "equity" on a search engine and found the opposite of what you claimed from several reliable sources.
