report, block, move on. that is all you need to do, and also learn not to be scammed again, and use your account safely..
Tickets being closed with no response are a classic symptom of compromised account.

Follow steps 1-6 to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Also keep in mind, that reporting someone doesn't require writing support ticket. There is a report button on every profile.

Keep in mind often scammers are using hijacked accounts, so if they hijack someones account and use it to scam someone they don't ban the account when its recovered.

The only real action you can take against scammers is to just not get scammed, then they'd stop.
thanks for showing them that people can still be scammed OP, now they're gonna continue. :steamfacepalm:

Again, the account in question could have been hijacked. Its incredibly common so they often won't be banned

I mean should you be banned if a scammer hijacked YOUR account?
