It Really is Game Over
The current state of PC gaming is a travesty. Great games and great developers have been replaced with Bots and Artificial Intelligence. Nvidia themselves is behind a lot of this, this company has become nothing but
marketing gimmicks, hype, and buzzwords. Right now on these very forums all the talk is of upgrade, upgrade, got to upgrade! But what exactly is Nvidia trying to sell you...more frames, is that it... Really??!!

That really is it but it's all clouded in typical Nvidia jargon: gimmicks and buzzwords like PhysX, Hairworks, DLSS 4 cause you only have 3, new RT reflections, RT shadows, Reflex Mode On, oh look is that Path and Ray tracing over there, yeah and they brought Frame Smoothing and Dynamic Lighting with them, can't wait see that Super Resolution, 4X Frame Generation!, and if all else fails initiate DLSS Override!

(Wow, I just thought we wanted to play good games)

This market treats PC gamers like we're stupid, offer more frames and we mindlessly go running to throw away our money. Nvidia refers to the 50 series as "next gen" when in reality there hasn't been a new game in a decade. Everything is a sequel, a franchise, a series hardly different from what came before. How many different CPU's and GPU's do you need to play Cyberpunk because that's literally the only game they use for 50 series demonstrations?

Developers are no longer required to make games that look and perform well, they master and release broken games and titles in low quality because Nvidia will simply throw their AI bots at it, upscale and fake frame it for you all at the cost of the consumer!

Therefore I'm out, it's boring, it's not interesting, all these tech tubers with comparison videos showing how a tree and rock looks different on a 5080 vs 4080 it's just wack! If that's what PC gaming is about today, I'm out I'll be seeing ya ✌️

No one is forcing you to buy a graphics card you don't want, bro. Plus, this isn't an airport, we don't need a departure announcement from you.
I wish I had a penny for every time I heard gaming is dead, I'd be able to retire in my 50's... Oh, wait I am retired in my 50's...
pc gaming has been swarmed by the political left, and as always they have to destroy everything they touch

My rant is on the state of PC gaming, being a part of that community I believe I should be free to express an opinion of changes we've experienced in recent years, overpriced and overrated GPU's is just a part of it...

Maybe PC gaming isn't dead but what we think an upgrade is has declined

Well, 5080 and 5090 are out of stock already. Perhaps they can still use them as heater for the Winter?

Then there's the Hardware and Operating Systems forum you can post in seeing as that is probably the best place for such a discussion but you already know that seeing as you've already been posting there...
When did "PC gamers" become so over-the-top melodromatic?

I blame social media.

edit: been playing digital games in various formats (Apple ][, Atari 2600, Mac, PC, SNES, PS1-4, arcade) since the late 70's. While the number of games that I'm personally interested in has gone up and down over the years, I'm still finding things to play and enjoying myself.

Maybe PC gaming isn't dead but it's definitely gotten stupid

In over 27 years of PC gaming, in my opinion it is the people which have become more stupid not gaming.

Edit:
You changed your post.

Sold out, exactly, Nvidia and Jensen stated they couldn't do it without AI and that's true, except the artificial intelligence they are referring to is us.

Because here I'm talking the gaming culture not the hardware

Yeah cause the word stupid is too harsh
The biggest problem with "gaming culture" is the whole forum/internet/Outrage thing. People making hyperbolic pronouncments about how awful everything is, persecuting devs because they don't like how some particular feature in a game is, screaming about the latest Culture War they've been instructed to froth about. . . I don't know how game devs handle the absurdity that is "Gamers" these days.

They deserve a bloody medal for what they have to go through daily just to try and bring a bit of joy to someone's life.

And the games on those systems were fun; and when you upgraded you really did upgrade unlike today where the only upgrade is a shadow or reflection in a 4 year old game like Cyberpunk.
